Crofton Parkway Flag Project
Project History

In 1996, Kiwanians Tony Cannetti and Arlo Pederson asked the
Kiwanis to spearhead a fundraising drive to allow the project to
continue well into the future. The fund drive was embraced by
the Crofton community and over thirteen thousand dollars were
raised. About that time, Kiwanian Bob Carr offered the
services of his company, TLC Incorporated to put up and take down
the flags. Bob also would maintain the poles and replace
damaged flags. Today, the flag fund is solvent, and the Kiwanis club remains the executive agent of the Civic Association for the flag project. Pete Pedersen and Bob Car remain as the managers of the project for the Kiwanis Flag Team. <back to previous page>
